Flyfishmagazine.com’s Holiday Gift Guide: 2006

Jay Moore runs a lumber yard in Nashville, Tennessee. When he isn’t working or hanging out with the stars of country music, he is Flyfishmagazine.com’s contact in middle Tennessee for fishing reports. Jay’s considers his home water to be the Caney Fork and Duck Rivers.  (Editors note: We know of no salmon actually stocked in the Caney Fork)

 PolarEyes Sunglasses     Retail $49.99

Jay knows the importance of protecting his eyes from stray hooks and the ravages of the sun. He says this about PolarEyes:  “I have a pair that I have had for two years. SportChief Mirage 3-In-1 Fishing Jacket - Waterproof Aquatex (For Men)

Jay wonders why everyone doesn’t have one of these great 3 in one fishing rain jackets.  Once the rain stops this 100% nylon hooded jacket converts into a mesh fishing vest with removable pockets.  We are not exactly sure why you would want to remove the pockets from your fly vest, but having the option is always nice. This is available from Sierra Trading Post.  However, the larger sizes are almost gone.
